That's a LONG story. In fact, we have an entire page dedicated to that. The bottom
line is "you get what you pay for". The mass marketers, such as Dell and HP, build your computer
to the exact specifications that you purchase. For example, if you order a computer and specify
everything you want on it, their computer calculates exactly how much power you need to run
this system. The other day I pulled a 100 watt power supply out of an HP computer. If this
customer wanted to add one more component, the power supply could not handle it. All of our computers
come with a 350 watt power supply. If you ever want to add something to your computer, no problem. And our
replacement power supplys are CHEAPER than theirs. That's just one example. Go to
Why are your computers better? to find out more
comparison information, then make your own decision.
